Going Home Soon!!!

So it's the final regular week of school. Finals are next week and I can't keep my excitement down because I'm going home!!! I totally can't wait. It's gonna be so cool. I know it's gonna be a good break. I'm gonna get to see Andy and my family and some good friends from SJ. It's going to be really cool to meet more of Andy's family. I just can't wait. I'm sooooooo excited!!!! going home soon.

On the Road

So it's been hard to keep up because I've been all over the place within the past 2 weeks. I've probably traveled a good 2000 miles or so in the past 2 weeks. Not this past weekend but the one before it the team went to Rhode Island. It was a long but fun trip. As I said in an earlier post, we didn't play our best hockey that weekend but we finished on a good note. It was kind of interesting because I feel that we had better games than we expected and we were having trouble putting the puck in the net. It was a nice little trip though because I got see some familiar faces. I saw Nic Stock, Annie Lynch and Dan, and I ended up having a game against Cheri Winter. It was pretty cool to see some people from home. So we ended up getting back from R.I. late monday morning and I left for Texas with Becca for thanksgiving break on Wed. around noon. We first drove to her family's lake house and stayed one night there, then we drove to her parents house for Thanks Giving and the rest of break. It was great. Her family was so nice and there was good food. It was a lot of fun, and it was nice to get out of St. Charles for a bit more. It was a tiring to weeks but definitely worth the time. Now it's almost time to go home. Just over two weeks and I'll be home safe. I'm excited!!!!

Busy weekend

We just got back from Rhode Island this morning after traveling on the bus for about 22 hours. It's been a real busy weekend but enjoyable. We had 4 games and came out with a 3-1 record for the weekend. I don't have much time to write about details right now so keep an eye out for a new post more about RI soon.

Trip to the Zoo

Today I'm going to the St. Louis Zoo. I'm really excited! I'm taking my camera so I will try to take some good pictures and I'll post them soon.

Trip to Minnesota

So today we just got back from Minnesota. It was our first road trip of the year, and besides a few minor setbacks with the bus driver, it was an overall great weekend. First off, a lot of were excited and a little nervous because we were playing some good NCAA teams. Most of us were more excited though and the games were so much fun! We ended with a 2-1 record. Beating both St. Mary's and Augsburg. Except for our Saturday game, we played our best weekend of hockey we have ever played. We came together really well as a team and it really showed just how good of a team we really are when we play together. I got 3 points this weekend and on Sunday I had one of my best games of the season. Sunday's game was neat because my friend Joe from San Jose came down from his school in North Dakota to visit and watch my game. It's always nice to see friends when we are on the road somewhere. It was so nice to play against good teams. I wish we had challenges like that every weekend. So we ended the weekend on a great note except for the ride home. Apparently our bus driver didn't have too much of a plan to get home and we got lost several times. Instead of getting back to school at 2 or 3am, we got back 5am! It was bad because we had to go to classes today with very little sleep. Besides that, we had a great weekend. Now it's back to school. I've got some busy stuff coming up because we are going to the east coast in about a week and a half and the semester is coming to an end. It's going to be very busy but very exciting.

What's Happening

It's been a while since I've posted about some of the everyday kinds of things that are going on. It's been super busy here for me so it's been hard to find the time to do it. Basically things have been going really well though. We've been working out on and off the ice a ton and I can feel it's improving our team. I know that I feel good in games. So far we've been playing really well and we just won two games against michigan state! That's good because they are one of the top teams this year.

As for school, classes are going well. I'm really happy with the classes that I'm in, and I've been learning a lot of stuff. Currently I'm trying to do a lot of work with my web page. Right now it's still got what I started with but I have new ideas that might change it very soon. Keep an eye on it for changes (you will know when it happens). I've been thinking about next semester courses and I just picked up a course catalog. I'm not too happy with the choices but hopefully I can make the best out of it. I'm excited to see what comes next for me here.

The weather has been okay but it is just now starting to get cold. I'm not ready for it. I still want to wear shorts all the time. Hopefully I'll be able to handle it.

Winning Against Liberty

We just had a real late game against Liberty. A team from Virginia. It was a good game. They have a pretty good team. We won 4-1. It was a great game. At the end of the game I ended up getting hit about 3 times in a row and it took till the last one to get a call. Bad refs. Anyway, it was fun. I love hockey!

Assistant Captain

So some of you may not have heard but I just got named assistant captain of my hockey team here at school. It's really exciting and I hope i do good.

Exciting Hockey News

So this weekend are the home openers for this season and I'm soooo excited. It's gonna be so great to get back into games. It's been a while since I've played in a real game. One thing that is also really neat about this season is that I just got named one of the Assistant Captains on my team. It's a huge honor and I hope I can keep working hard and take the responsibility that I need to have to keep this position. It's exciting.

In Missouri

School has been going good. It's pretty crazy that we are halfway through the 4th week of school. It has been so busy here lately but it's been fun too. We have been doing dryland practices on Mondays and Wednesdays and it has been going well but I absolutely hate the fact that we have to be up at 5:30am to do it. Today it was super humid out and that brought mosquitoes. I got a bite right in the middle of my forehead. That was no fun. I do like doing the workouts though because I feel like I'm getting back in really good shape.

So I have a new web page that's all my own! the address is 19greenpirates.com. I hope everyone likes it. I will probably still update on this for a while so look in both places for new news.

New News

School has been going well. I really like my classes a lot this semester. Most of my classes are computer classes so it's really easy to keep me satisfied. I have some good projects coming up in my digital imaging class so check on my other blog (portfolio) in the next few days to see some new photoshop work that I'm doing.
Hockey is going well too. The team is coming together well and we have games coming up at the end of the month. One thing that's going to be difficult to get used to is that we are going to be having dryland workouts at 6:00am on Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm so not a morning person so it's not going to be easy.
So far there hasn't been much else than those two things. I guess a cool new thing would be that I got a hair cut. I was being brave and let my roommate cut it. It's actually pretty good.

I miss home

It's been a lot of fun here so far but it's not like home. I know it will change once we really get going into the season because hockey will keep me occupied but right now it's hard. I hope this year goes really well though.

Classes start

first day of school. It didn't turn out bad at all. I was actually really surprised about my bio class. I think it will be ok even though I absolutely do not like science at all. Of course I liked my other class for the day cuz it was video editing. School will be fun this year.

short summer

So I'm back at school now. It's so crazy how short the summer was. I can't tell how I feel being here. I'm super excited about the hockey season and the classes that I'm taking but I miss home so bad. I miss the change of pace that I get at home. It's cool that I get to see my teammates and friends, but it is so hard to leave home. I think things will turn out good this year so hopefully everything will get going soon and hopefully it's not too overwhelming.

Back to school

So there are some good things and bad things that are coming up. The bad thing is, is that I have to leave home already. It really does feel like I just got back recently. I've had an awesome summer and I really, really don't want it to end. The good thing is, is that I'm really excited to take the classes I am signed up for. All of my classes are towards my major except one. That class will suck but at least I'll get it out of the way. The rest of my classes will be really fun. Another good thing is that I'm so excited for the season to start. It is nice to have the summer off to relax from the hectic season, but there is so much that I love about hockey. It will be awesome to play in a real game that I really care about. Hopefully I won't be too out of shape. Basically from what I have heard from coach and other people on the team is that this year is going to be great. Hopefully it's what everyone says it's going to be because there is so much that I miss at home while I'm gone.

Harry Potter

So this is pretty nerdy, but I got the new harry potter book and I love it! it's so exciting. I still have a lot to read because I only just got it a couple days ago, but now I have to work on buying all the books.

Guess what????? Dropkick Murphys finally finished their new album!!!!! i can't wait to get it!!!!

summer is half way over :-(

It's sad to say this, but summer is already half way over and I feel like I just got home. It's disappointing because I wish I had so much time here. It's nice to see everyone at home and it's nice to be making money. I am enjoying school, but I wish I could have more time at home.

good times at home

so i've been back for a while and i'm all settled into my new place, can things are going really well. I've gotten to spend a lot of time relaxing, working, catching up with friends, swimming, napping, seeing my family, and probably a lot more stuff that i can even think of right now. I've been gettin on the ice a little too. That's always good. I'm pretty excited because I think i might able to save up some money this summer. It seems like time is going by so fast. I feel like June is almost over and I feel like i just got here. I've been cooking a lot more since i moved into the new place. I'm still doing pretty basic stuff but i'm starting to try a lot more different things. It's fun. Summer rules! I'm getting tan and enjoying the fact that i don't have to worry about it being rainy and sunny in the same day. Basically being home is the coolest thing ever!

Back home!

It's been a while since i've updated because I've been on the road, working, and catchin up with old friends. I'm finally back in San Jose and I just moved into my new place with my co-worker Alyssa. It's gonna be a fun summer and I can't wait to see how it goes. I wanna take video of the place and post it up so everyone can see it. Be on the lookout for that.

It's game 6 tonight for the sharks and I'm pumped, feeling good about the game. I hope they can pull through and get the win. They have to in order to stay in. GO SHARKS!!!!

One Final Down

I just finished and turned in my final project for my electronic resources class the other day, and I got a 100% on it. I'm pumped because not only does that mean I'm doing good in the class, but that means I pretty much have one class down. So now I only have 4 finals left. This is exciting!

Trip home

So it's getting to that time where I can start packing my bags to come home, and trust me, when I say that I've been waiting for it for a long time!!! I'm pumped that the semester is almost over. So I've been planning my trip back, and I've decided on a good plan. Basically I'm estimating to drive about 2077 miles, and it's estimated at 30 hours of driving time. It's gonna be long, but I'm sure it will be fun. Here's a pic that I put together of our planned route.

I Love the Warm Weather!

This past week we've had some really nice weather. I've pretty much been laying out in the sun every day and I've gotten some good work on my tan. It's been so great to be warm finally, and I love being able to finally wear shorts and stuff. It's definitely helped me get through these last weeks of school. One problem I have with this weather out here is that it comes with humidity. Totally lame! The humidity is not too bad during the day, but at night, it's horrible. I guess I just can't win with the weather over here, but I do love the heat.

Almost Done With School

So it's kinda weird because it feels like is going by fast, but then I think about it and it feels like I've been here for so long. I'm dying to be done with school. It will be nice to be home for a while. I kinda want to have a change of pace, so being able to see old friends and go back to work will be nice. It seems like I have a few things planned out for the summer already, so I can tell it will be a good one. Right now my main concern is to try and find a good place to live that I can afford. I'd love to live with my old room mate Sandra, but we're still trying to work those arrangements out. It sounds like I will most likely be living in a studio apartment somewhere. I'm pretty pumped about that. I just can't wait to be home!

Break

This past two weeks have been great because we have had spring break and then easter as well. It has been great having a break but it's making me want to have summer more and more. It's been nice having chance getting a little bit of warm weather while being home, but I'm still waiting for the weather to move over this way for my last month of school. I'm so glad the school year is coming to an end. I'm ready to be home for a long time, and I'm definitely ready for a break from school. It's so soon! I can't wait!

home sweet home

I just got back to school from my spring break, and let me tell you that it was AWESOME to be home!!!!! I was able to see a ton of people, the weather was nice, I was able to get a few hours in at work for a little bit of extra money. It was a great break, and i'm bummed that it ended so soon.

Goin Home!!!!

So I only have 2 more days to go until I get to go home for spring break, and I can't wait!!! It's been a long time, and I am in some serious need for some good weather. It's gonna be really nice, i'm so pumped. It's even hard to sit still in class because it's all I can think about.

St. Patricks Day!

So here's a few pics from St. Patty's Day. Most of you all know that st. patty's day is pretty much one of my favorite holidays! We ended up having a great time. It's always fun to drink green beer. I swear it tastes even better than normal! haha, jk. Anyway, check out the cool bud light bottles they made for St. Patty's Day. I bought one just to keep for display cuz it's pretty much one of the coolest cans ever made!

The Show

So, I've been meaning to talk about the flogging molly show since I went, but I didn't really have time before this. Anyway, the show was awesome! It was so much fun. I think I went crowd surfing like a million times. They played all really good songs, and one of the coolest parts about the show is that they finished the show playing my favorite song at the very end of the encore. It's a song called "The Seven Deadly Sins", it's basically a song about pirates, and it rules!!! Anyway the show was amazing, and it was well worth the trouble we had getting there. (aka, we got lost in st. Louis) It was a good time, and I got to see some old hockey friends. Even though I have a ton of bruises from the show, it's so worth it.

So my roommate and I decided to rearrange our dorm room for the 3rd time this year, and it's by far the best we've ever had it. If you wanna see our dorm, check out this video, I took it the night we changed it.
