Halloween!

Okay, so we just passed Halloween and lets just say mine was an interesting one. My hockey team was on the bus to Minnesota for Halloween, but we didn't let it stop us. The original plan we to dress up the rookies for Halloween, but I wanted to dress up too. The funny thing about it is that we ended up stopping at Olive Garden for dinner. We got a lot of stares at the restaurant. Who really dresses up there? haha yeah we are goofy. Here's a pic of me and Becca. haha, can you guess who we are? Beauty and the Beast! haha

Okay, so it's been forever since I wrote in here again! haha go figure. I just wish I had more time to write. So things have been great here. We just had tryouts/training camp here the past week and it went really well. I'm super excited for the season to start. It's going to be good to get into regular practices and games. I excited because coach was really happy with the way I'm playing, and I get to start out skating on my line that I love. I'm with Kippit and Karple. We've played together off and on for the past 2 years and we just have a good time. I think we will really get to keep it together this year.

School has been good too. I'm really enjoying my schedule and my classes this semester. I'm really looking forward to my photography class and my computer art class.

it's been a while

Wow! It really has been a while since I updated my blog. I should really write more often. Anyway things are going well. I've just been working a lot and trying to enjoy the summer as much as possible. It's awesome so far. I just wish I had more time. I can't believe I already have to go back soon. But it's weird cuz I have mixed feelings. I'm totally not excited to leave home yet, but then again when ever I get to school the closer I am to finishing. I can't wait to finish school. It's going to be sooo exciting. I guess it's just really easy to look into the future where I can picture myself with a good job and a cool place with Andy. I'm totally looking forward to that.

home for summer!

So i've been back home for about 2 weeks now and things are awesome. It has been kinda nice to be out of work and out of school for these past couple weeks. I do need to start earning some money though. i start work in a week and until then i'm gonna go do some work for my grandpa for some extra cash. It's just been really nice to enjoy home, seeing andy and the family, the sunny weather, the beach, great america, stanleys, and playin hockey with old friends. It's just been good so far!

School's almost out!!!

I'm pumped! only got one more week of regular school then finals!! i'm sooooo pumped. Time to be home for the summer!

Weather?

So the weather totally sucks here. I was surprised to have two sunny days in a row, but once again it's cold and rainy. The other crazy thing, is that we had an earth quake in the middle of the night. It wasn't that bad for us but apparently pretty big in the city. It was my room mates first time in an earthquake so she was a bit shaken up but i'm kinda used to it. Then there was an aftershock in the morning. It was weird though cuz it happened when I was talking to one of my teammates about the one in the middle of the night. Earthquakes are weird.

still at school

So I'm still here at school and it sucks. The weather is horrible!! It never decides whether it wants to be rainy, sunny, snowy, warm or windy. We get everything all the time, even in the same day! it's crazy. I'm ready to get home and get some nice sun, and be where it's warm. I always start to get tired of school by the end of the second semester cuz we've been here for so long. I have a harder time motivating myself to put effort into my school work by the end of the second semester. Don't get me wrong, I still am trying to do well, but it's much easier to stay on track at the beginning of the year and during hockey season.

So I've been thinking of some summer plans. I still would like to work at the rink and all, but it's not as fun as it used to be. I definitely am still planning on having the internship but I might want a side job that I work at just a few times a week just for some extra cash. It's either going to be the rink, or my new idea, maybe starbucks! :-)

news update

So it's been a while since I've updated cuz it's been busy here, but i'm gonna try to be better about updating more often. Basically stuff is about the same here, which is how it gets after hockey. More time to work on school but more time to think about home. I'll try to find a balance. I'm just excited though cuz it's gettin to so close to the end of school. I'm pumped! only about 5 more weeks. I'm still tryin to figure out this internship stuff. I'm not hearing back from some people about it yet, so I hope it will still workout. I'm sure it will, i just want to get it set up soon. One thing that sucks about this place is that the weather is still bad. This weekend we actually got some sun but only for two days and the rain is supposed to come back all this week. Hopefully it will be wrong and we will get more sun. So one exciting thing is that our rings should be coming fairly soon. They are gonna be tight. Bigger than the rings last time. Very exciting. So that's news around here. Hopefully I'll get around to posting almost every day from now on.

Another Win!

So we just got back to school with another big weekend. For those of you don't know, this year, my team joined an actual league where we will have playoffs, as opposed to being independent as we were in the past. Anyway, this weekend we had our first CCWHA playoffs and we came back with a victory. We took first place in the tournament and won our first ever league championship.

My birthday

So I just turned 22 a week ago and it's really weird. Haha I don't know why. It just seems weird to think I'm that old already when it took forever to turn 21. Anyway, here's a few pics that I took the day after when we went to Cheese Cake Factory. It was fun.

Good Hockey News!

So we just had our third rankings come out, and we are #1!!! wahooo! it's really cool. So there is one more ranking but we don't have any big games before it comes out, so we are pretty much guaranteed to go into nationals in the number 1 spot! it's exciting.

Second Semester

So I've been back at school since the beginning of January for J-term and the second semester and everything has gone well so far. It's been very busy because so far we've been out of town for the first two weekends back to school. We had some really big games. We were in Minnesota last weekend playing against 2 NCAA teams and we were 3-0 for the weekend. Then last weekend we beat Michigan State who were ranked 4th and went 2-0 for the weekend. It was neat because my parents were there to see my games and we got to catch one of my sister's games at Wayne State. It was a fun weekend. We are back at school now and we have a really big weekend. This weekend we play Robert Morris. Those are always good games.

For my J-term class I have been taking a 3D animation class. It is so much fun! I wish that it wasn't only for J-term because I still want to continue learning the program.
